Christmas is all about gift making, good food and lots of yummy treats!
- 1 x Can Condensed Milk
- 150ml milk
- 450g demerara sugar
- 115g butter
Add the sugar, butter, milk and condensed milk to a heavy based pan and heat gently, stirring frequently, until the sugar has dissolved.
- Bring to the boil and as the temperature rises, stir the fudge occasionally so that the sugar doesn’t stick or burn.
- To see if it’s ready, drop a little of the mixture into a jug of ice-cold water. A soft ball of fudge should form. Alternatively, check with a sugar thermometer if you have one (the fudge should be approximately 118°C).
- Remove the pan from the heat and pour into an 18cm shallow square tin brushed with a little vegetable oil, and leave for 10-15 mins or until almost set. It will set quicker in the fridge.
- Cut into squares.
